In a Land Far Far Away...

Buddy weekend turned out very well.  After a long "Viking Dinner" I'll leave the photos to explain it.

Out into the Unknown

Hmmm... So you want me to take a bus 2 1/2 hours further into a country of which I don't speak the language to stay at a stranger's place for the weekend? Well, since you put it that way, OK, but first a little Googling my host family. It looks like we'll be staying here with Sissel and Hallbjørn Sverkmo. Online translation between Norwegian and English is a bit iffy, here's the best I could find.  Sounds like I might have to go fishing. Oh No! :)

In to the Mountains

We've moved further into the mountains of Norway for about a week's worth of winter training.  Photo to follow later today.

Camp Ripley needs to hire their decorator.  Very European.  Almost Air Force standards. We'll see if there are omelets at breakfast before we give them that honor.

Oh Canada...

We've made it as far as the Gander airport in Newfoundland, Canada. An hour long refuel has left us enough time for a quick stop at the duty-free shop.

Overall, uneventful. My camera was packed away under the plane so a few shots on the trusty phone will have to do.
